Nissan Maxima

The Nissan Maxima offers a combination of performance, luxury and interior room at a very competitive price. This family sedan sits in the same class as the Volkswagen Passat and Mazdaspeed 6.

The Maxima badge has been around since 1982 and has always boasted the one of the best V6 power plants in the industry. The latest version continues this trend.

Sitting in the market, above the Nissan Altima, the Maxima has a distinct presence on the road and positions itself firmly in the center of its competitors.

The base model SE is the sporty model with a firm suspension and 18-inch wheels, while the more luxury-oriented SL has 17-inch wheels and a slightly softer suspension. Interior for the SL is in leather upholstery, while an exclusive ‘elite’ package turns the three-seat rear into a two-person environment with the addition of a control panel for seat heaters, suns shades and the DVD entertainment system.

The Maxima is only a mid-size salon. The interior space is something that needs to be seen to be believed. The front seats are supportive and wide; the console is sleek and modern; while driving ergonomics is hindered by design where some buttons have been created form before function, and the orange illumination offers very poor contrast.
Standard features for both models include an eight-speaker audio system, one-touch up-down front windows and keyless entry; While the SL boasts 17-inch wheels, wood interior trim, heated leather seats, a 320-watt Bose audio system and HID headlights.
The interior is spacious, while the V6 offers a balanced ride with superb handling and array of luxury extras and options. Amongst the competition, the Volkswagen Passat has a big V6 engine, more a luxurious interior with better material finish, and more road-feel.

If you are looking for a budget car for long commutes that offers you a lot of space and comfort for your family, Nissan Versa is your destination. Nissan Versa comes in four models: 1.8S hatchback, 1.8S sedan, 1.8L hatchback, and 1.8L sedan, the latter two being the latest.

Let's look at the 2008 Nissan Versa. It is equipped with a 122-hp engine. Its 1.8L 4-cylinder engine gives it an edge over other cars in its class. Starting at $14,810, the hatchback is a good buy. The sedan starts at $15,460.

Comfort within budget is Nissan's USP with this car. Though extremely comfortable, this car is not for the sporty ones.

The standard features include six air bags, which is a part of the Nissan Advanced Air Bag system, fifty safety features, as part of the Nissan Safety Shield package, and air conditioning with in-cabin micro-filter. The 2008 Versa has been awarded the highest rating by the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety in its front, side, and rear impact tests.

Nissan offers Versa in seven colors: brilliant silver, sapphire blue, super black, magnetic gray, red alert, blue onyx, and fresh powder. The interiors are extremely pleasing and available in a dark shade of gray called charcoal cloth.

The 2007 Nissan Murano is both innovative and reliable, with several new features that offer safety and convenience. Impressive new features include the Murano's available Intelligent Key and Direct Ignition, which, with the touch of a button automatically unlocks and starts the car as the driver approaches, and also Xtronic CVT, which allows for shiftless transmission, to make for a smoother ride.

The 2007 Murano offers several standard safety features, including Nissan's Advanced Airbag System and a 3-point passenger seat belt system. This model keeps children in mind as well, with the LATCH system, which lowers tethers and anchors for the youngsters. The Murano also can switch between all-wheel and front-wheel drive depending on weather conditions, but switches back to front-wheel for optimum fuel economy.

Chrome side sill accents, LED taillights and a power sliding glass moonroof add to the Murano's sleek look, while rear back privacy glass and fog lights are convenient to this model.

Interior comfort is provided with Murano's Dual climate control with air filtration, and a 10-way power adjustable driver's seat including lumbar support, and also 60/40 split fold-flat rear seats. Also included in the Murano is the standard AM/FM CD system, and other audio options available are MP3/CD playback capability and satellite radio. A navigation system with LCD display and convenient rear monitor make this vehicle even smarter.

Nissan includes ample cargo space for storage in each Murano, however, this model's 240-horse power, V6 engine is sure to handle the extra weight.

Nissan's 2007 Murano is a car that combines safety, technology and affordability, and is likely to be at the top of the market this year.

The 2005 Nissan Frontier has new 4.0-litre DOHC V-6, based on Nissan's VQ series engines, produce 265 horsepower and 284 lb.-ft. of torque and give the Frontier more power than the Dakota V-8 and enough strength to pull 2,950 kilograms (6,500 pounds). It is the most powerful V-6 offered in a mid-size pickup. The third generation Frontier, which is offered in both King Cab and Crew Cab body configurations, has innovative spray-in bedliner and Utili-track(TM) bed channel tie-down system, rugged truck styling and fully boxed, all-steel frame based on the Titan "F-Alpha" platform

The new Frontier is designed to deliver exceptional levels of acceleration, handling and braking, towing capacity and off-road capability. The Frontier features a newly designed 4.0-liter DOHC V6 rated at 250-plus horsepower and 270-plus lb-ft of torque and a choice of 2-wheel or 4-wheel drive with advanced off-road technology. The new engine is part of the acclaimed Nissan VQ engine series utilized in the Nissan 350Z, Maxima, Altima, Murano and Quest.

Some of the features of the Frontier's new 4.0-liter include an aluminum block with cast iron cylinder liners, forged steel crankshaft, micro finished crankshaft and camshaft, molybdenum-coated pistons, Nissan variable Induction Control System (NICS), Continuous Valve Timing Control (C-VTC), and a silent two-stage timing chain.

The back end remains a solid axle setup for the suspension, while the front steps up a double-wishbone layout with high-pressure performance coil over gas shocks and a stabilizer bar. The top tire will be a 17-incher, with 265/65R17 rubber. Four-wheel disc brakes with ABS and EBD (Electronic Brake force Distribution) are standard across the lineup.
