Nissan Celebrates The Start Of Tiida In Europe

Nissan Mexicana earlier celebrated the start of the Tiida in Europe. The ceremony was held in the port of Veracruz which can be found next to the Olympian Highway and it was held in the vessel that is taking a shipment of 600 Tiidas to Europe.
The remarkable ceremony was presided over by Shoichi Miyatani, the President and General Director of Nissan. The witnesses of honor include the governors of the states of Morelos and Veracruz, Marco Adame and Fidel Herrera, respectively; and by Hiroshi Yoshioka, the President of Nissans shipping subsidiary - the Nissan Motor Car Carrier. The event was also attended by other special guests. They all observed the loading of the units that left in the vessel for the old continent. This year, Nissan is expected to export some 12,000 Tiida units to Europe.
It could be recalled that on March 26, Nissan Europe announced the presentation of the Tiida model for the European market. Nissan added sales are set to begin June this year. The Tiida model, based on the new global Nissan B platform with stretched wheelbase, is the current addition to the automakers product lines in the continent. The crucial move is next to the launch of the striking Qashqai crossover.
In order to secure a good aftermath, the automaker has closely analyzed various European markets to identify the countries where there is a concentration of Nissan enthusiasts. The aim is to give those who are loyal to Nissan some more options in their next purchase of a vehicle. After the determination of the concentration, the automakers Civac plant was designated to serve as the center for the manufacture of the model.
The Tiida, a compact car in the sedan and hatchback versions, is equipped with gasoline and diesel engines mated to Nissan radiator hoses and it will be distributed in the Baltic countries including the auto markets of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. Other territories covered by the Tiida invasion include Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, The Czech Republic, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Malta, Poland, Rumania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia and the Ukraine.
The Tiida is set apart from other models because it is quite tall. Its range consists of a five-door hatchback and a four-door sedan called the Nissan Tiida Latio. A station wagon called the Nissan Wingroad is introduced by the automaker in New Zealand. In China, the car is produced by the Dongfeng Motor Company which is a joint venture between Nissan and a local company. This year, the car is set to replace the Nissan Almera - a small family car. The British version will be called the Versa.
The Tiida is on sale in Japan and the United States and records prove that it is well accepted in the mentioned territories. Moreover, the automaker anticipates that same level of acceptance will be attained in Europe. Nissan targets an average of 30,000 sales annually.
